Mrs. Dale, the doctor's wife, records the daily happenings in the life of her family
Script by Basil Dawson
On holiday in the South of France, Mrs. Dale was arrested and fined for digging up plants in a public park. This left her and the Doctor short of francs, and on the way home they had to share a room with Mrs. Mountford. On returning the family discovered to their horror that Mrs. Morgan and Maggs had painted Mrs. Dale's bedroom bright mauve. Andrew Gardiner came to tell them his plans for starting a nursing home in his house, and Billy wandered out on to the road and was nearly run over. Gwen had a row with Mr. Fulton in which he tore up David's designs for the end papers of his book.

'The Red Planet'
Episode 5 with David Jacobs and Anthony Marriott
Music composed and conducted by Van Phillips Written and produced by Charles Chilton
Freighter No. 7 of the Mars space, fleet was holed by a large meteor and its crew killed. Then a whole swarm of meteors was detected in the fleet's line of flight and Jet Morgan had to abandon No. 7 and take evasive action to avoid the new hazard. But, in spite of changing course, the swarm still remained directly in front of the ships and only two alternatives now remained open to Jet; he could either turn back or risk flying straight through the swarm.
