A programme for children under five
Easter, for the under fives, means Easter Eggs, and appropriately, this week Catherine Edwards has for them a story of three little boys who found their Easter Eggs in unexpected places. Catherine Edwards is the last of our three ' story ladies,' and ' Easter Eggs ' is the last of the stories she will tell until her turn comes round again. After the Easter break Julia Lang will be back once more for another month at the microphone.
During the past three months our three storytellers have made many friends. The speaker,' writes one mother, ' is always called " Bunting Lady," and is much loved — he made me put more wood on a low fire the other day " to keep Bunting Lady warm"!' Not least among the ' Bunting Ladies' ' attractions, delighting the children, though sometimes dismaying mothers who are called upon to do likewise, is th;ir capacity to turn themselves at will into cats and dogs, cocks and hens, cows and monkeys, trains, tractors, and foghorns, and the answer to those doubters who ask ' Do they really make all those noises? ' is ' Yes, indeed they do I
