invites the London Jazz Club to present today's session with their resident group
Humphrey Lyttelton and his Band and their own guests
Introduced by Lord Donegall
Produced by Johnnie Stewart
It is a good sign for jazz lovers to find that jazz and rhythm clubs are springing up all over the country. They are formed in order to bring together young people who have certain musical interests in common.
Jazz Club periodically invites one of these clubs to come to the studio and present a programme of their own choosmg. This week the London Jazz Club has been invited to present a half-hour broadcast along these lines. Its members are bringing their own resident group, Humphrey Lyttelton and his Band, and are also inviting one or two guest musicians as soloists, or to 'sit in ' with their own outfit.
In order to reproduce something of the atmosphere of the club, the audience will consist entirely of the club's own members and guests, and there will be dancing in the studio while the broadcast is on the air. Johnnie Stewart
