Can a career woman be a successful wife and mother? Wendy Forbes is sure of it. ' There's a wasted intelligence behind each gaily painted door,' she says as she goes to her office, leaving her husband, Henry, to run their home and the new baby. Henry has given up a secure job to further Wendy's ambitions and to try his hand at being a full-time author. He has already won a literary prize, and his hopes are high-but now time is plentiful, ideas are scarce. Wendy, too, finds that a ' 'turnabout' marriage is not all plain sailing.
