The ' New Room ' was built in 1739 by John Wesley to serve as a meeting place for a religious society. It soon became the home of a growing congregation and the headquarters from which he and his associates went out on their preaching tours in the West of England. From the pulpit which John and Charles Wesley frequently occupied Dr. Frost speaks of the contribution that Aielhodism has made and is vigorously making today to the religious life of this country.

A dramatised account by Dan Davin and Leonard Cottrell
Produced by Leonard Cottrell
Ten years ago, on May 20, 1941, rhe Germans launchedtheir great attack on Crete—the first airborne invasion of the war. Although they finally took the island, the Nazi losses were so terrible that General Student described Crete as the grave of the German parachutist.' This
- programme, which describes the operation, contains much new material on the historic battle. Dan Davin. responsible with Leonard Cottrell for the script, took part himself in the defence of the island, and Cottrell went over the terrain in February of this year.
