Prayer
Immortal, invisible, God only wise (S.P. 535; C.H. 12: Tune, St. Denis)
Interlude: 'John Flynn'
Prayers: the Prayer for Happiness; the Lord's Prayer
Thy Kingdom come! (S.P. 680; C.H. 153: Tune, Irish)
Blessing

Only a few years ago, in the vast interior of Australia, anyone who was taken ill might have to be carried hundreds of miles on horseback before he could receive medical aid, and he often died on the way. Today, thanks to the pioneer work of John Flynn, who organised the 'flying doctor' service of the Australia Inland Mission, a doctor can be flown in a very short time to the most remote places. The interlude is one of a series illustrating the work of the world-wide Church.
