Appeal on behalf of the China Christian Universities Association, by the Rev. P. W. Jones
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged, and should be addressed to [address removed]
Many people today are puzzled about China, but whatever the political changes in that country, the genius and needs of her people remain unchanged. This is the time to strengthen every link of friendship between them and us.
In China, of the fourteen Christian universities and colleges, with their 9,000 students, all are continuing their work and making their distinctive and valuable contribution to the training of doctors, teachers, engineers, church leaders, and every type of public servant. All these universities are international and interdenominational, and many of them are closely linked with this country through the great missionary societies and the British personnel on their staffs.
It has never been more important than it is today that these Christian universities should be kept financially strong. They are in urgent need of funds and these can be regularly transmitted to the universities in question.
