January 9, 1950, is ' Plough Monday,' the day on which the plough-boys traditionally periorm their sword dances and their plays during their tour of neighbouring farms and villages. This traditional celebration is being reflected in this children's country dance party with a performance of part of a sword dance and an extract from the Ampleforth Sword Dance Play.
