28—Cricket : Lord Frederick Beau clerk, by Harold Hobson
The subject of this week's talk is another giant of the cricket field, a figure who takes us back beyond the possibility of living memory.
Harold Hohson is not at all sure that
W. G. Grace was the greatest cricketer. Lord Frederick Beauclerk , parson and aristocrat, was one of the early pioneers of our national game, and played at the end of the eighteenth century.
