A Variety show performed and presented by a Metropolitan Police Division, from a theatre in the South
The Police at play could always be relied upon to produce entertaining talent. The Force is now more in a position to do so than ever, since many Special and War Reserve policemen are stage and band performers of renown. Such a one is Claude Bampton , for instance, well known in the dance-band world, who has written this show's signature tune, ' Off The Beat '. He has also composed a rousing song, ' Chantez les Vs'. What is described as a ' beefy police chorus' lends lungs to the show.

Question-master, Donald McCullough in a recorded programme presented by Douglas Cleverdon and Howard Thomas
There should be stimulating and diverting answers from Monsignor Ronald Knox , for he is one of the outstanding intellects and one of the greatest wits of the present day. A. G. Street will be in his element if some question on farming crops up. As everyone knows, he is as much at home with things of the land as is Commander Campbell with things-especially serpents-of the sea.
