A Variety show performed and presented by a Metropolitan Police Division, from a theatre in the South
The Police at play could always be relied upon to produce entertaining talent. The Force is now more in a position to do so than ever, since many Special and War Reserve policemen are stage and band performers of renown. Such a one is Claude Bampton , for instance, well known in the dance-band world, who has written this show's signature tune, ' Off The Beat '. He has also composed a rousing song, ' Chantez les Vs'. What is described as a ' beefy police chorus' lends lungs to the show.
