I spent so many happy hours on the South Downs, a place where a man got time to think. I used to take my lunch to eat on the crest of the Downs and then walk down to have tea in Arundel by the castle.
Sometimes I gave four lectures a day to troops on lonely gun-sites on the coast. My subjects at that time were colonial affairs and anthropology.

This charming and gifted young artist comes from Madrid, where she became professor of the harp in the conservatoire at the age of nineteen. She is now married to a British business man and lives in the North of England, where she came to the notice of BBC TV. She made her first appearance in this country in March.
