A thriller serial in six episodes by Lindsay Hardy.
Starring Raymond Huntley, Peter Illing, Anthony Newlands
with Philip Bond, David Langton, Heather Chasen, Peter Madden, Doreen Aris

Following up the clue he found in Boone's office, Ryder finds proof that Hedges had paid Boone to follow Cheviot. Confronted with this, Cheviot admits he has been lying and tells Ryder about some love letters written to him by Hedges's wife, and still in existence, which would give the police an undeniable reason for arresting Cheviot on a charge of murdering Hedges. Ryder and his fiancee, Gillian, go to Cheviot's house to collect the letters and Ryder discovers that Gillian and Cheviot have had an affair.
