When General Campbell left London for a secret visit to Scotland, he thought he had covered his tracks. Murdo Aitcheson, who persuaded Alison, the General's daughter, to accompany him to a small fishing inn, where Aitcheson had an unexpected encounter with a Mr. Caldwell.
