A summer search with Christopher Chataway.

In 1956 Christopher Chataway tried to find out if a young townsman could make a living if he settled down somewhere off the beaten track. One of the places he visited was the most distant part of the British Isles - the Shetlands.

Introduced by Peter Scott.

In a film made at Minsmere Reserve in Suffolk under the auspices of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, Christopher Mylne has obtained many intimate shots of their breeding story.
