Where the Panama Canal widens into a lake there is an island. Peter Scott and Tony Soper filmed, at a biological research station here, coatis, peccaries, tapirs, sloths, a kinkajou, howler monkeys, a five-foot iguana lizard, and many interesting insects. They also made a trip up the Chagres river and met crocodiles, egrets, masked ducks and jacanas.
