The only way in which we know what is happening in the world outside our own bodies is through stimuli received by our senses. These stimuli are transmitted from the sense organs through the nervous system to the brain. The body's nervous system also enables various parts of the body to work in harmony with each other. In today's programme Professor W. S. Bullough demonstrates some automatic reactions of the body.
