Some water creatures swim by a vertical wave-like motion of their bodies, some by horizontal waves. Others, like the water boatmen, row themselves through the water by motions of their oar-like legs. A completely different method of locomotion in water is the jet propulsion used by creatures such as the octopus.

A weekly series of programmes on animal life in Africa.
Elephants with tusks, each one weighing a hundred pounds or more, are rarely seen today. They have been killed either by sportsmen in search of trophies or by poachers in search of ivory.
