A weekly date for enthusiasts to meet Percy Thrower and his gardening friends.

With the aid of film cameras he takes you outdoors to show you some of the jobs to be done at this time of year. In the studio he plants marrows, does the final potting of chrysanthemums, and takes cuttings of Korean chrysanthemums to grow into pot plants for autumn flowering.
His guest this week is Alan Bloom, who is the Chairman of the newly formed Hardy Plant Society. The plants he shows are some of the less common hardy perennials which are well worth a place in your garden.
