A weekly date for enthusiasts to meet Percy Thrower and his gardening friends.
This week he shows how to prune spring-flowering shrubs and lift and divide polyanthus for flowering next spring. He advises on the planting of outdoor tomatoes and the watering, feeding, and care of pot plants.
Some alpine plants in flower at this time of the year are shown by today's guest, Valerie Finnis, who advises on the preparation of a sink garden and demonstrates how to plant the alpines, take cuttings, and sow seeds.
