Percy Thrower demonstrates the planting of raspberries, blackcurrants, and gooseberries.
He also shows the correct method of planting a cordon fruit tree and recommends varieties of apples and pears suitable for this method of cultivation.
Seasonal work out-of-doors includes sowing broad beans and making garden compost, and indoors bringing the bulbs into the light for flowering at Christmas time.
