Overnight, every night, B.O.A.C's 'Monarch' service leaves London Airport for New York. This evening outside-broadcast cameras watch the scenes of departure and follow the giant Stratocruiser to the end of the runway. There Berkeley Smith, from inside the plane, describes the take-off. With the help of film, viewers see something of life aboard the air liner during its night flight across the Atlantic.
