The story of one of the most daring sabotage exploits of the war, the destruction of the Norwegian stocks of Heavy Water, by which German developments of the atom bomb were delayed. This action, planned in London, was carried out by Norwegian Special forces from 1942-1944. Viewers see extracts from a remarkable film "The Battle for Heavy Water," made at the scene of the operation and acted by survivors.

In the studio to introduce the film will be Major-General Sir Colin McVean Gubbins, K.C.M.G., Colonel J.S. Wilson, O.B.E., who supervised the operations from London, and two of the saboteurs, Captain Jens Poulsson, D.S.O., and Lieutenant Knut Haukelid, D.S.O., M.C.
