Billie is the 'boy' of the famous Houston Sisters act. Before leaving Scotland to come to London with Renee, she appeared in concert party, revue, and pantomime. The Houston act was an immediate success: one week they were at the old Shoreditch Theatre and the next they were at the top of the Coliseum bill. Since then they have played at almost every music-hall in the country and once at a Royal Command Performance. They have appeared several times as separate acts and their individual charm is just as evident as when they are together.
Film-goers will remember that Billie starred with Renee in a film called "Happy Days are Here Again", which was the story of their lives. Recently Billie sprang a surprise on the theatre and literary world by writing a successful thriller, entitled "Twice Round the Clock".
