Noni, a Frenchman who was born and brought up in the circus, is one of the most famous clowns living today. He follows the tradition of his brilliant predecessors, Joey Grimaldi and Grock. Londoners will remember him at the Command Performance at the Coliseum a short while ago. He finished his act by getting down from the stage and saying 'Any flowers?' Queen Mary replied by sending him a flower from her bouquet.
His daughter, Anita, comes before the camera at 3.50 this afternoon.

Forty-nine years ago Bruce Bairnsfather was born in India. He served in France from November 1914 to December 1916. During that time he saw enough of trench life to appreciate the Cockney genius for creative humour in the face of danger. In word and sketch he delighted the world with his portrayals of Tommy Atkins at home and at the front. Today his work is just as popular as it was when 'Old Bill' gave his celebrated advice about the merits of a certain 'Better 'Ole'.
Anita Noni, the daughter of Noni the famous clown, who also appears this afternoon, is a child prodigy and unlike most displays of precocity her act is excellent entertainment. She is only twelve years old; yet she sings, dances, and plays nearly every kind of instrument.
