Leslie Sarony has been a great success in almost every branch of the show business-musical comedy, films, revue, and Variety. His "I lift up my Finger and I say Tweet, Tweet" has been sung in almost every country in the world. Before Leslie Holmes joined Sarony, he was a traveller for a biscuit firm; later he became professional manager to a music publishing concern.
The partnership has been prolific. Between them the Two Leslies have concocted and sung, amongst other hits, "Wheezy Anna", "Come, Pretty One", "Ain't it grand to be blooming well dead", and "We all start whistling Mary".

Physical fitness is an important feature of military life today, and for the most part it is maintained without elaborate apparatus. Viewers without access to a gymnasium, therefore, will be able to pick up some valuable tips. The display shows the physical benefits that can be obtained by the use of simple things like skipping ropes, medicine balls, and ash sticks.

At the age of twelve Albert Sandler was playing in a cinema orchestra for five shillings a week; before long he was made leader. By saving, he was able to go to the Guildhall School of Music, where he won a scholarship. After the Guildhall he studied with Wessely and then with Ronay.
He is now a violinist with a huge public. 'Sound' broadcast listeners have known him since the early days of broadcasting. At least once a month he is on the air with the Park Lane Hotel Orchestra.
