7/13. Rock'n'roll, rockabilly and blues enthusiast Mark Lamarr spins lesser-known vintage vinyl from his vast stereo collection.
Tonight he pays tribute to guitar guru Link Wray , who died in November, aged 76. Best known for his raunchy 1958 instrumental Rumble, Wray introduced a down-and-dirty sound to guitar-playing by way of the power chord, fuzz-tone, feedback and distortion.
Expect to hear Wray classics and his collaborations with Bunker Hill, Marvin Rainwater and the Dialtones.
