Brian Blessed introduces a concert of music inspired by Shakespeare, recorded last June as part of the Ulster Orchestra season of Summer Proms. The Ulster
Orchestra, led by Anna Colman , conducted by En Shao, perform pieces including Berlioz's King
Lear, Sir William Walton 's famous score for the film
Henry V and Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet. There's also the Courtly Dances from Britten's coronation opera Gloriana and part of the Elizabethan Suite by Sir John Barbirolli. Brian
Blessed performs some of the great Shakespearean speeches. At 8.20 during the interval,
Seamus McKee and friends muse on classroom encounters with the Bard.
