Seamus McKee presents tonight's programme from Londonderry - Ulster's 'Maiden City' in the north-west of the province.
There's been a tremendous cultural revival in the city in recent years, with the Field Day Theatre Company, which includes Stephen Rea as a founder member, the Orchard Gallery, now an internationally-recognised exhibition space for contemporary art, and a newly-opened award-winning museum which vividly re-creates the city's history. Local musicians include Phil Coulter, Dana and Peter Cunnah, lead singer of D:Ream, while Derry is home to writers such as poet Seamus Heaney, novelist Jennifer Johnston and playwright Brian Friel. Producer Judith Elliott
