Jim Lloyd introduces The Andrew Cronshaw Band in concert. The Chartists
On 3 November 1839 around 5,000 men from blackwood, Nantyglo and Pontypool marched on Newport to show their support for Chartism and the imprisoned Henry Vincent.
Twenty four hours later the militia opened fire on the crowd leaving many dead and injured. This programme re-enacts the incident with THE CHARTISTS folk group of the Islwyn Folk Club in Btackwood.
