Binnie Hale :
'' Back in the 30s there was a kind of mystery about us. There was also the division of the footlights between us and the audience. They never called me Binnie. I was called Miss Hale by everybody, the staff and the public. We were very proud of our theatre, there was a great deal of dignity about it and a great deal of fun.'
