Leiber and Stoller (Part 2 of 2) Introduced by Andy Peebles
During the mid-60s Leiber and Stoller began to direct their energies towards the development of other young writers and producers, a policy which paid off handsomely with the success of their own Red Bird label.
Inevitably their own writing and production suffered and during the late 60s and the 70s they emerged only occasionally to write or produce. Despite these limited forays each of their projects was marked with success
They continue to write, increasingly for the theatre, and they are working on a number of potential musical shows. (Broadcast Sun 7.0 pm)
A book to accompany the series will be available at the end of March from booksellers
