including Fun at One - a daily comedy classic,
As Action Special is into its second week, Peter remembers his 'testing days' at school.
'Every time I saw an exam paper I had an absolute blank, so I had to find a career where I could almost bluff my way in. It's much more difficult to sell yourself than to win jobs through exams, it takes guts and determination to keep bashing on those doors and say, "I know I haven't the exams, but I can do it".
'These days it's important to back a career-horse fairly early, so if you think, yes, I would like to be... then go for it. That might mean working in your spare time for nothing to learn about the job, unfortunately that doesn't solve the immediate problem of living with cash in hand, but sacrifices have to be made for long-term rewards'.
