The fog on the Tyne may have obscured Newcastle group LINDISFARNE from the singles' chart in the last couple of years, but you can find them producing their unique brand of music tonight from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. The band's unusual instrumental line-up with a rough-and-ready approach creates an amazing rapport with audiences. Band member Alan Hull writes most of their songs, which are mostly about life born out of a working-class area.
