Selection is limited, inevitably. to the records mailed to the BBC from abroad, or left at Broadcasting House by tourists. but we hope to demonstrate that despite a tendency for " Europunks to call themselves Karl-Heinz Manure or Lars Orders, such bands as DAF and Abwarts. Sweden's TT Reuter and Garbochock and Finland's Ebba Gron prove that European new-wavers are not merely imitative of British bands.'
