Alison Short features listeners' letters on almost any subject.
One listener writes about the recent Tube crash: What really got me was the way reporters described the rescue of the driver as being by "three most unlikely rescuers".
'Why were they unlikely? Were they zombies? Were they asleep at the time of the crash? Were they on another station? No - they were skinheads, and by putting boots and braces on, they then became "unlikely rescuers". Had those lads been in suits with collar and tie, carried a briefcase and worn a bowler hat, would they have been the "proper" heroes in the rescue?'
