21 at 33 is the title of 33-year-old Elton John's 21st released album.
Andy Peebles recently went down to Elton's home near London, and in this three-hour programme Elton tells his own story to Andy, reflecting throughout his own music and musical tastes over the last 11 years of his phenomenally successful career.
Recorded at the Hope and Anchor, Islington, earlier this year.
Elvis says: It's great playing the Hope and Anchor again, coming back to the small gigs where I can see the audience.'
John Peel hosts this Bank Holiday special programme with a group of young people who are acting as presenters, interviewers and reporters.
You are likely to hear street interviews with young people throughout Britain, studio interviews with a well-known or even notorious person, the odd joke, the odd embarrassing silence, a film preview or review, the occasional mistake, John Peel getting irate. It could be an interesting hour, on what could be a rainy Bank Holiday - there again it might be sunny.
