Frances Partridge , born in Bloomsbury in 1900, married to Ralph Partridge with whom she edited The Greville Memoirs, started to write her own diaries at the beginning of the Second World War. Today, she selects entries made on 25 December from a variety of diaries, giving a vivid picture of Christmas Day through the centuries. Producer Kate McAII
