Set against the backdrop of New Labour's first term in power, Stephen Poliakoff 's affecting new drama sees public-relations consultant Gideon (Bill Nighy ) increasingly disillusioned with the hollow world he inhabits. Instead, his attention becomes focused on the growing distance between himself and his daughter Natasha (Emily Blunt), who is on the brink of leaving home, and his burgeoning relationship with a woman grieving the tragic loss of her young son.
