The afternoon is given over to tennis as Sue Barker presents Iive coverage of the last scheduled action of week one. While contenders for the singles titles battle for a place in the last 16, the doubles also holds the prospect of exciting action. On this day last year, Mark Philippoussis won the longest fifth set of the open era, taking two hours, 15 minutes to beat Sjeng Schalken 20-18.
