Mark Curry and Maggie Philbin welcome the weekend with a screenful of cartoons, pop music, guests and summertime reports from the mobile picture unit. In the studio Paul Weller and Colin Stanier, who is dancing "On Your Toes" in London's West End. Pop-in guest Martin Gore will be telling Maggie about the love songs he's written for Depeche Mode. Cartoon stars include Popeye, Bullwinkle and Godzilla. There are competitions, chart news, videos and lots more. Mark says "It's time to launch our Summer Snaps Competition and I've been to Photoworld for some tips from the experts."

This lighthearted thriller marked the feature film debut of Donny and Marie Osmond. En route to a Hawaiian concert tour they are tricked into carrying a stolen necklace by an underworld courier disguised as a priest. The famous pair unwittingly become a magnet for a rogues' gallery of murderers, misfits and criminal masterminds. Seven songs by Donny and Marie are woven in between the thrills and spills of this zany comedy caper.
