Spies, crashed airmen and fugitives from the Gestapo often relied on forged papers during the war on the French Riviera. If you were British, like the people in this documentary film, papers were essential to avoid arrest. You were not supposed to be there after 1940.
From Nice and Monaco to Clermont Ferrand, this film traces the stories of five Britons who by fate, choice or duty, spent the war years in southern France evading the authorities. Despite the Riviera's deceptive luxuriousness, Gerald Hakim ended up in solitary confinement; Dorothy Cham aide's husband was arrested by the anti-Semitic authorities; Taffy Higginson was imprisoned above Monte Carlo and Lady Henderson was sent to the horrors of Ravensbrück. The nature magazine with latest news and information on wildlife with Su Ingle and Michael Jordan
You've seen molehills but have you ever seen a mole? Mike examines the animal that annoys gardeners and looks at just what goes on under the surface of those molehills. And you can join a nationwide survey of molehills. Ever heard of the hatchetmouth, the angler or the stalkeye? They're all British, but they live at great depths in the sea. Su enters the world of these grotesque deep-sea fish when she takes a trip to the bottom of the ocean in a submersible. And Wildtrack takes the first of a series of weekly looks at a pair of buzzards, and their newly laid eggs.

Introduced by Harry Carpenter International Rugby Union from Auckland, New Zealand
The Lions face the first major hurdle of their New Zealand tour today when they meet Auckland, one of the strongest provincial sides in this fanatical rugby-playing country. Ciaran Fitzgerald. captain and prime motivator of the tourists, will need a decisive victory at Eden Park if he is to hope for the success achieved by the 1971 Lions.
Commentator NIGEL STARMER-SMITH DAVID GOWER 'S form on last winter's tour of Australia answered the critics who said he has not always done justice to his tremendous potential. On the eve of a hectic season of international cricket, DAVID ICKE profiles the player many believe could be England's finest batsman since the war - and its next captain.
