The bustling British Colony of Hong Kong is one of the world's richest communities. Fortunes are made overnight, millionaires are two a penny and while the rest of us tighten our belts the place just goes on getting more and more prosperous.
It was all started by a couple of devout Scottish opium runners, and tonight's film looks at the legendary firm they founded which still has a towering influence in the Far East and at the astonishing participation in Hong Kong's money-making fervour by the Communist giant next door-China.
