There was a time, Lord Hailsham tells Fyfe Robertson, when he nearly gave up politics to concentrate on the more lucrative law, but by then he was hooked, and had he abandoned politics he'd have suffered withdrawal symptoms.

The last of six programmes which follow the fortunes of people who have decided to risk a dramatic change in their lives.
Sixteen-year-old Janice [name removed] asked to be taken into care because she was so unhappy at home. Now, a year later, after being shunted around various children's homes, she has decided she wants to be fostered by Lynn and Allen [name removed].
The [name removed]s - who have three young sons - have never fostered before and decided to go in at the deep end by offering a home to a difficult, disturbed teenager.
One in three foster placements break down - and since this is Lynn and Allen's first attempt, social workers have warned them that even though they like a challenge, they might not realise quite how much they are taking on.
