In Perthshire, a village unites to carry on an ancient tradition: taking flaming torches around the town on New Year's Eve. The Rev Fr Dun Karm spends a lot of time preparing the religious processions of Naxxar village. In Malta, Easter, especially Good Friday, is the crowning glory of the villagers' ritual year.
