The programme that brings you the most interesting stories and the issues you want to know more about.
With reporters Alastair Burnet Michael Charlton , Robin Day Richard Kershaw Richard Lindley
Julian Pettifer , Alan Watson Oil Today. Oil Tomorrow?
Today, President Nixon holds his ' oil summit' - a crisis meeting of oil consumers to see how world economic recession might be avoided. Tonight, from the land of the camel and the Cadillac, of tough Bedouins and even tougher businessmen, Panorama reports on the one oil-producing country which, above all others, has helped to bring about this crisis - Saudi Arabia. Nearly half of all the non-Communist reserves lie beneath Saudi sands.
RICHARD KERSHAW takes a rare look at this remote, but immensely rich desert land whose oil is the life-blood of the world.
