1943: The Italian Campaign, and the war-weary Company C is ordered to capture the small Sicilian town of Valerno. They find the Italians all too willing to surrender - provided they can finish their football match and carry on with their annual wine festival! Discipline crumbles but spirits rise as the GIs join in the bacchanalian celebrations.
