A comment by W. T. Williams
Professor of Botany
University of Southampton

Integrates (1926) . for wind and percussion ensemble
Juilliard Percussion Orchestra New York Wind Ensemble
Conducted by Frederic Waldman on a gramophone record
The works of this Franco-American composer, who was born in 1885, are few in number and little known to the general public. His exploitation ot wind instruments (which owes something to Stravinsky) and of large percussion groups led him to a musical expression which, in many ways, anticipated the style of post-war serial and electronic composers.
