Mach vexed his generation by questioning the reality of atoms and molecules.
Later Heisenberg, Schroedinger, and others abandoned all reference to
'models of reality.' Thus the new orthodoxy in physics became ge.neraUy accepted to be the prediction of atomic events rather than the description of atomic objects. Now once again there is revolt, and in this talk Dr. MacKay speaks about the implications of the ingenious neo-deterministic theory pro-pounded by Professor David Bohm.
