The Exeter Hall Salvation Army Band was formed in Plymouth nearly fifty years ago. It holds periodical open-air meetings near.the Mayflower Stone and Monument, and has visited H.M. Prisons at Mutley and Dartmoor. Most of the musicians have been entirely trained by S. G. Brookes , who has been their bandmaster during the last eleven years.
